Finca Lote 3 hails from a farm nestled in the municipality of Santa Maria in Huila, Colombia; it's owned by Miller Sarmiento and his wife Johany. This lot is hand-picked and fermented for 24 hours in cherry, then de-pulped and fermented an additional 36 hours. Afterwards, it's laid out to dry for 10-14 days (weather permitting).
Fun fact: The Miller family has been growing coffee for generations. Miller and Johany inherited the farm from her father 18 years ago and have been working tirelessly, raising 4 kids while maintaining the upkeep of the farm and improving their home with the earnings from the coffee production. Their youngest daughter Michelle, wants to become an environmental engineer and help her dad preserve the farm ecosystem and their coffee production. The family has seen the importance of taking care of their environment, they are slowly transitioning into organic.
